I have been making masks since 1988 but leather is a relatively new medium for me. I am still learning, experimenting and challenging myself with leather. With this design I wanted to challenge myself in the area of internal cuts and sculpting. It came out quite different from how it looked in my sketch. I am both happy and surprised by the end result. That is part of the fun of designing in leather, you don't really know what is going to happen until you sculpt it. I think this would make a really fun costume for a fire juggler.

A regal and playful star. Pearl tangerine orange, metallic red and gold with pearl blue and blue glitter adornments surrounded with gold. Turquoise blue green eyelashes.

Very light and comfortable mask. Made from oak tanned leather in 3-4 oz thickness – (refers to the thickness grade of leather, not the actual weight of the mask. The mask weighs about 2 oz.)

Easy to display on the wall as an art sculpture. The mask is fitted with loops on the back to hang the mask from.

Sealed with a nontoxic varnish to protect against damage.

Fitted with two black elastic cord straps which are fully adjustable. Slide the slip knot up or down cord to adjust size.

Signed, dated original.
